Paw Paw has several health benefits. It is a good source of Vitamins A and C; contains Calcium, Thiamin and Niacin, and is low in calories, making it ideal for diabetics. Because it has low acidity, Paw Paw is an excellent fruit for persons with stomach ailments. It is thought that paw paw soothes the stomach and helps maintain the health of the gastro intestinal tract.

Ripe Paw Paw, which is orange in colour, is used as a fresh fruit by itself or with a twist of lime, in fruit salads, and can be blended into drinks. Green paw paw is used to tenderise meat since it contains papain, an enzyme that breaks down protein. Indeed, a Paw Paw a day will make you come out and play.
